For longer links or future-proofing, OM4 is the better choice.

Yes. OM4 fiber is fully backward compatible with OM3 equipment and transceivers. You can mix OM3 and OM4 cables in the same link, though the maximum reach will be limited by the lower-grade OM3 segment. For best performance, we recommend keeping links consistent.

LSZH stands for Low Smoke Zero Halogen. In the event of a fire, LSZH cables produce significantly less toxic smoke than standard PVC-jacketed cables. This is required by building codes in many plenum spaces, equipment rooms, and data centers in Europe and increasingly in the US. If your installation environment specifies LSZH or if you are in an enclosed space with limited ventilation, this cable meets that requirement.
